If surgery is required, we may meet with you and your physician beforehand.

Based on a prescription from your physician, we will discuss your history during your initial visit to our facility. We’ll take a full history and discuss your interests, needs, habits and goals. We’ll want to learn as much about your lifestyle as we can to help determine the appropriate device for you. This is a key time to offer any added insights that might be helpful.

Analysis / Review

After our analysis, including your input and your physician’s prescription, we’ll determine the options appropriate for you and your lifestyle, and discuss them with you. Be sure to ask questions if there’s something you don’t understand.

Measurements

Once we determine your particular option, we’ll take the necessary measurements to fabricate your device. Each component of a prosthesis that comes into contact with the skin is custom fabricated. We will take a molded impression from which to make a model to fabricate your prosthesis.
